> Withdrawals exceeded deposits by $3.64 billion during the period. Binance said demand eased after service returned.

Binance processed $4.65 billion in withdrawals over 9.5 hours Sunday after restoring service across several networks, leaving $3.64 billion in net outflows following a $6.3 billion theft the FBI attributed to North Korean hackers.

The exchange also handled $1.01 billion in deposits during the same period. The figures cover 1 a.m. ET (06:00 UTC) to 10:30 a.m. ET (15:30 UTC).

Binance said withdrawal demand was strongest soon after service returned and later eased toward stable levels, while deposits remained substantial. It began restoring withdrawals in stages at 1 a.m. ET Sunday. Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana and Base were among the networks with withdrawals available.

Binance founder and former CEO Changpeng Zhao said 98% of users chose to stay and that most net outflows came in the first few hours after withdrawals resumed. Binance said it had recovered about 95% of affected assets, up from 90% in its previous update. The remaining 5% consisted mainly of less-liquid tokens that would take longer to obtain. Binance has said it will absorb the financial impact rather than pass losses to users. The FBI named the North Korean operation TraderTraitor.
