> The 24-hour gross total equaled about 3.6% of Binance’s pre-hack asset figure; the exchange put net outflows at $3.64 billion in its first 9.5 hours.

Binance-linked wallets recorded more than $6.1 billion in gross outflows in the 24 hours after withdrawals resumed Nov. 1, about 3.6% of the $171 billion in assets Binance reported before the hack.

Binance put net outflows during the first 9.5 hours at $3.64 billion, after processing $4.649 billion in withdrawals and $1.01 billion in deposits. That figure covers a shorter period and subtracts deposits, while the $6.1 billion total counts gross wallet outflows. On-chain outflows can include transfers among Binance-controlled wallets, so they do not establish how much customers withdrew.

Binance paused withdrawals for about 45 hours after an Oct. 29 attack and reopened them in stages Sunday, Nov. 1. The first stage began at 1 a.m. ET (06:00 UTC) across 15 networks; all assets on its initial list were available by 7:36 a.m. ET (12:36 UTC).

Binance said Nov. 1 that it had replenished about 95% of the stolen assets. It was buying the remainder, which was harder to source in the required amounts, through spot and over-the-counter channels.
