> ETF inflows clustered in two periods, while long-term holder balances fell by 248,000 BTC and corporate treasury purchases slowed to about $1 billion.

U.S. spot Bitcoin (BTC) exchange-traded funds added 79,800 BTC in the third quarter, nearly twice the 41,300 BTC mined during the same period, as ETF demand grew while corporate treasury purchases slowed.

The funds added 38,500 more BTC than miners created in Q3. The quarter’s ETF inflows followed $4.76 billion in net outflows from U.S. spot Bitcoin funds in Q2, a sharp reversal in the flow measure.

ETF additions were concentrated in two windows: Aug. 17-27 and Sept. 21-25. Together, those periods accounted for 91% of quarterly inflows measured in BTC, so the quarter’s total was not spread evenly across the three months.

Long-term holder wallets reduced their balances by 248,000 BTC, valued at $17.4 billion. That was about three times the amount added by ETFs. The measure covers wallets holding coins that had not moved for more than 155 days; the balance decline does not by itself establish how those coins were used.

Bitcoin treasury companies added 12,000 BTC, worth about $1 billion, in Q3, down from $7.1 billion in Q2. The dollar totals use prices on the dates of the respective flows. The slowdown came through a separate demand channel from ETF flows, as reflected in [public-company Bitcoin additions during the quarter](<https://www.tokenpost.com/news/business/35535>).

Bitcoin rose 42.7% in Q3 to $83,570 as of Sept. 30. The quarterly figures show ETF additions outpaced newly mined supply even as long-term holder balances declined and corporate buying slowed.
