Arm Holdings shares fell 10.76% by 9:31 a.m. ET (14:31 UTC) Thursday, leading a broad opening decline in AI-linked stocks as the Nasdaq Composite lost 1.05%. The move came as U.S. trading opened, with the Dow higher and the S&P 500 slightly lower.

At the open, Rockwell Automation was down 9.32%, Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) dropped 7.99%, Astera Labs fell 7.65% and Cognex declined 6.59%. Arm's drop was the largest among the five AI-linked companies listed, while each of the other four also posted losses of more than 6%.

The broader market was mixed: the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.45%, while the S&P 500 fell 0.34% and the Nasdaq Composite slid 1.05%. Arm's decline was 2.77 percentage points steeper than AMD's, the second-largest drop among those five names. The opening snapshot highlights weakness concentrated in AI-linked shares alongside a smaller decline in the S&P 500 and a gain in the Dow. Crypto traders also watch equity moves as a cross-market risk signal.
