SanDisk shares led a broad U.S. storage-sector selloff Nov. 5, dropping 17.09% as Micron Technology fell 12.57% and the Philadelphia Semiconductor Index lost 8.31%, extending pressure across memory-chip and hard-drive companies.

Kioxia ADR fell 15.20%, Western Digital declined 13.48%, Seagate Technology lost 13.43%, and SK Hynix dropped 10.80%. All six named stocks fell by double digits.

SanDisk’s decline was 8.78 percentage points steeper than the index’s loss, while Micron’s drop exceeded the index decline by 4.26 points. SanDisk also fell 1.89 points more than Kioxia ADR and 4.52 points more than Micron. Western Digital and Seagate moved nearly in line, with their declines just 0.05 percentage point apart.

The losses crossed memory chips and hard drives, spanning multiple parts of the storage supply chain. The breadth of the move put AI and semiconductor risk appetite in focus as the U.S. storage selloff widened.
