> Eligible traders can post wrapped Ether and nine stock tokens as collateral, with non-USDG deposits capped at $20,000 per trader.

Arcus has opened stock-token and wrapped Ether collateral to all traders who can use its perpetual futures, ending the early-access rule that required more than $25 million in Arcus trading volume.

The feature began rolling out Oct. 19 to accounts with more than $25 million in trading volume on Arcus. The exchange announced the broader access Thursday, Nov. 5; eligible traders do not need to activate a separate setting. The [early-access collateral feature](<https://www.tokenpost.com/news/investing/35352>) lets traders borrow USDG against assets held for perpetual positions.

Eligible collateral includes wrapped Ether (WETH), USDG and tokens tied to SPY, QQQ, Apple, Microsoft, Alphabet, Amazon, Nvidia, Meta and Tesla. The initial loan-to-value ratio is 50% for each asset. Before the expansion, most Arcus traders needed USDG to meet margin requirements for perpetual futures.

Deposits of assets other than USDG are capped at $20,000 per trader, with a $2 million limit across the platform. Each account can borrow up to $10,000. Arcus rejects orders that would push an account’s loan above that ceiling, so the borrowing limit applies separately from the collateral deposit caps.

Borrowing is automatic once eligible tokens are in a trader’s perpetuals account. Any margin need or trading loss that the account’s USDG does not cover becomes a variable-rate loan, and the balance shrinks as the margin requirement falls.

Arcus can liquidate an account if falling token prices or a growing loan push it past the maintenance level set for an asset, or if the loan exceeds the account limit. Liquidation can involve closing perpetual positions, selling collateral tokens or both.

Arcus founder and CEO Eddie Zhang said the feature gives traders another way to use stock-token value for existing positions, new trades or hedges. “Spot positions and perpetuals positions shouldn’t have to operate in separate silos,” Zhang said.

Arcus is unavailable in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom. The exchange went live on Robinhood Chain on July 1 through a partnership between dYdX and Robinhood.
