Coinbase's book listed $24.94 million in buy orders and $9.24 million in sell orders. Binance's spot market also had more buy orders than sell orders, though its buy-side total was below Coinbase's.

A sudden large trade can affect an exchange with a thinner order book first, making price swings more pronounced.
