Other tokens had a stronger trading presence overseas. BNB accounted for 1.36% of global turnover but 0.06% domestically. XAUT's shares were 0.25% globally and 0.04% in Korea, while USDC's were 10.49% and 5.84%, respectively.

Korean exchanges accounted for 20.30% of combined turnover across five Korean exchanges and Binance as of November 7, up from 13.70% 30 days earlier. This measures their share of that combined total, rather than worldwide exchange turnover.

ALGO had the highest kimchi premium—the price difference between Korean and overseas markets—at 0.50%, followed by ATOM at 0.45% and POL at 0.28%. VVV traded at a 0.61% discount in Korea, while PEPE and RENDER showed negative premiums of 0.56% and 0.31%, respectively.

[Editor's note] This column examines Korean trading concentration through an interest index covering tokens traded on both Korean and overseas exchanges. The index combines domestic and global turnover shares, the kimchi premium and recent trading surges, focusing on actual trading turnover. Domestic share measures a token's portion of turnover on Korean exchanges; global share measures its portion of overseas turnover. The ratio indicates how heavily trading is concentrated in Korea relative to overseas markets.
