> Lorenzo Valente said stablecoins have changed ARK’s emerging-market Bitcoin thesis, while tokenized stocks and real-world assets remain part of its broader market outlook.

ARK Invest continues to evaluate Bitcoin (BTC) on a five-year horizon despite the cryptocurrency’s flat-to-lower performance this year, with stablecoins and tokenization influencing the firm’s broader view of adoption.

Lorenzo Valente, ARK Invest’s director of research for digital assets, said the firm still sees Bitcoin through potential roles as digital gold and permissionless money. That long-term framework remains central to ARK’s investment thesis.

Stablecoins have changed ARK’s view of Bitcoin’s role in emerging markets. Dollar-linked digital assets are now part of the firm’s assessment of how crypto markets may develop in countries where Bitcoin had previously occupied a larger share of the discussion.

Valente also addressed tokenized stocks and real-world assets. The discussion examined functions tokenized stocks can provide that traditional brokerage accounts cannot, as blockchain-based markets develop alongside established financial infrastructure.

Higher interest rates, inflation and artificial intelligence remain part of ARK’s broader macroeconomic framework for Bitcoin. Valente also discussed why some institutional money remains outside the market.

The outlook extends beyond the next market move. Valente addressed Bitcoin’s prospects over the next 12 to 18 months and the role of the cryptocurrency’s four-year cycle in shaping expectations about market behavior.

ARK’s analysis also includes a Bitcoin price target for 2030 in its Big Ideas report, but no figure is stated here. The firm’s broader position remains tied to a five-year horizon, while stablecoins, tokenized stocks and institutional adoption continue to inform Valente’s assessment of Bitcoin’s market development.
