> Emergent CFO Richard Lindahl will leave the officer roles Dec. 31, 2026, then advise through March 31, 2027, including on the company’s 2026 annual filing.

Frank Vargo will become Emergent BioSolutions’ interim chief financial officer on Jan. 1, 2027, as Richard Lindahl leaves the officer roles at year-end and stays on to guide the transition.

Lindahl will leave the CFO and principal financial and accounting officer positions on Dec. 31, 2026. He will remain a senior executive adviser through March 31, 2027, when he is scheduled to retire. Vargo will assume both roles on Jan. 1.

Lindahl’s advisory work will include helping prepare and file Emergent’s annual report on Form 10-K for the year ending Dec. 31, 2026. The arrangement keeps him involved in the reporting process after the officer handoff.

Vargo’s interim assignment adds $3,850 per pay period to his current $328,000 base salary, beginning Jan. 1. His salary, bonus and equity awards will remain commensurate with his previous seniority and position.

Lindahl became executive vice president and CFO in March 2018. Vargo joined Emergent in December 2019 and has served as vice president and treasurer since November 2025.

The handoff comes as Emergent pursues a longer effort to improve its business and operating results. Lindahl said he is “committed to ensuring a smooth and successful transition.” He plans to make more time for family and friends, travel and personal interests.
