Thailand’s Securities and Exchange Commission is seeking final public comments on proposed stablecoin rules that would limit how users move the assets through licensed crypto platforms.

The consultation closes Sept. 25. Under the draft, customers would be allowed to deposit stablecoins only to, and withdraw them only from, their own verified account or wallet.

The rules would also prohibit transfers to another person’s wallet. Each user would face separate daily limits of 5 million baht, or about $150,000, for deposits and withdrawals on each platform.

The proposal is still under consultation and has not taken effect.
