# Iran Received 1,300 Chinese Shipments of Dual-Use Parts

Iran’s Defense Ministry took in roughly 1,300 dual-use component shipments from China during the first six months of 2026, expanding a potential supply route for Iranian drone and missile programs during the U.S. conflict.

The cargo included electronics suitable for drones and missile guidance, as well as GPS equipment, electric motors and parts for aircraft engines. More than a dozen shipments arriving two days after one electronics delivery contained drone-capable parts valued at more than $6 million.

The figure represents shipments of components with both civilian and military uses, not 1,300 confirmed deliveries of completed drones or missiles.

Mahan Air flights from Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou to Tehran increased to about 27 per week by the end of April 2026, up from four per week at the start of March.

The U.S. Treasury Department identified Chinese and Hong Kong entities in February 2025 as part of procurement networks supporting Iran’s unmanned aerial vehicle and ballistic-missile programs.
