# Nvidia CEO Huang Renxun Rejects Broad AI Legal Exemptions

Nvidia CEO Huang Renxun said Sept. 23 that AI companies should remain subject to antitrust and product-liability laws, while targeted rules may be needed for autonomous vehicles.

Huang said AI companies should test their products themselves and release them only after confirming that their models are safe.

He also said some concerns about artificial intelligence have become excessive. However, he supported additional rules for specific AI applications when existing regulation is insufficient.

For autonomous vehicles and similar products, regulators should add rules when a genuine regulatory gap exists. Huang said regulators should add rules whenever such a gap exists.
