President Donald Trump said a strong U.S. dollar can weigh on economic growth without driving inflation, alongside remarks on the midterm elections and oil shipments through the Strait of Hormuz.

Trump said Republicans would perform well in the midterms and that his campaign rallies had changed the political landscape.

On energy, Trump predicted oil prices would fall after the war ends. He said oil continues to pass through the Strait of Hormuz, a key route for global energy shipments, and described Iran’s economy as being in very poor condition.
