> Federal prosecutors accuse Alexander Sisemore of concealing insider token allocations and selling them while promoting Kishu Inu as a fair-launch project.

Alexander Sisemore, the creator of Kishu Inu, faces three federal wire-fraud counts over an alleged scheme to hide insider token allocations and sell them while presenting the memecoin as a fair launch.

Federal prosecutors allege that about 6% of Kishu Inu’s 100 quadrillion-token supply was transferred to wallets controlled by Sisemore before public sales began in April 2021. Another approximately 6% allegedly went to wallets controlled by an unidentified person referred to as Individual A.

The indictment alleges Sisemore earned approximately $9 million by selling the tokens between April 2021 and at least October 2023. One transaction involved exchanging 4,735,873,238,550 Kishu Inu for 39,308 USDT through Gate.io on Oct. 27, 2021.

Prosecutors allege Sisemore told investors that developers owned only 1.7% of the tokens and that no rug pull was taking place. Kishu Inu later exceeded a $1.6 billion market capitalization and reached approximately 283,000 holders.

Each wire-fraud count carries a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison. The FBI’s Chicago field office is seeking information from investors. Sisemore is presumed innocent, and an arraignment has not been scheduled.
