Robinhood legal chief Coy Garrison is scheduled to discuss tokenized stocks at a Washington, D.C., event on Oct. 16 as blockchain-based real-world assets draw growing attention.

The Groundwork event will focus on tokenized stocks, real-world assets moving onto blockchain networks, regulatory compliance and asset management. Orest Gavryliak of 1inch is also scheduled to participate alongside other experts.

Robinhood’s stock tokens track individual stocks and are unavailable in the United States and to U.S. persons. The company has offered the products through its international business, adding regulatory questions as tokenized assets expand beyond traditional markets.

Tokenized-stock availability, voting rights and regulatory standards are among the issues shaping the sector’s development. Robinhood’s international stock-token business has brought those questions into focus as companies explore blockchain-based versions of traditional financial assets.

BNBCHAIN has surpassed $30 billion in tokenized stock volume, underscoring the scale of activity in the market.

Garrison and Gavryliak are scheduled to take part in the Groundwork discussions in Washington on Oct. 16.
