Bitget has expanded its sanctions-related list to 20 entries and says it will reject deposits and withdrawals directly involving listed entities, with the accounts involved subject to termination.

The exchange announced the change on Oct. 16 at 7:56 a.m. ET (11:56 UTC). It follows an enhanced screening measure introduced in August that covered 16 entities. The latest notice specifies rejection and account termination for direct transactions involving the expanded list.

The four additions are Tokenspot CJSC, BitBank3 (bitbank.com), and the cryptomus.com and heleket.com domains associated with Xeltox Enterprises. The other entries are Aban Tether Exchange, Shelbit, A7 Africa, A7 Nigeria, PilotFinance, ABCeX, Aifory Pro, BitPapa, EXMO, Exnode, HTX (Huobi Global SA), Monease, NoOnecrypto, Rapira, Tradex and WhiteBird.

The U.K. added 38 entries to its Russia sanctions list on Oct. 8, including Xeltox Enterprises and TokenSpot, an exchange in Kyrgyzstan. Bitget did not explain the basis for adding BitBank3 to its list.

The policy also covers possible indirect connections. Bitget said transactions may be reviewed or rejected if a user’s funding source, transfer destination or an intermediary service is linked to a listed entity. During a review, deposits, withdrawals and trading may be temporarily restricted.

For indirect connections, Bitget says an account may be terminated for violating the exchange’s terms of service. The notice does not say that an indirect link by itself automatically results in account closure.

Bitget describes the list as neither exhaustive nor fixed. It may change as sanctions lists, regulatory requirements and risk assessments change, without individual notice. The exchange also advised users to check their funds’ path before depositing or withdrawing.
