The Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC) Court in Kazakhstan has issued injunctions barring the operators of six crypto platforms from offering digital-asset services in the financial center without authorization. The restrictions also cover distribution of mobile apps used to provide those services within the AIFC.

The limits apply within the center’s jurisdiction and to people accessing the services from there. Google and Apple are to receive notice of the judgment and become bound by it only after service.

A Sept. 15 order initially covered the operators of seven platforms. An amendment issued three days later removed LBank after its operator blocked access in Kazakhstan. The six platforms still covered are Coinbase, BingX, Bitcoin.com, Huobi Global (HTX), BitMart and WEEX.

The Astana Financial Services Authority (AFSA), which regulates the AIFC, warned more than 20 platforms about the center’s rules in 2025 and brought the case in early 2026. Nine other platforms voluntarily restricted app access in Kazakhstan, prompting AFSA to withdraw its claims against them. Seven additional platforms have expressed plans to seek licenses.

Licensed firms in the AIFC must meet requirements for asset protection, disclosures, complaint handling and dispute resolution. The National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan oversees digital-asset activity outside the center.
