Seven more companies have objected to OKXICE’s plan to trade tokens tied to their U.S. shares, bringing the total to 16 as issuers exercise control over the proposed venue’s lineup.

The newly listed companies are Microsoft, Alphabet, Goldman Sachs, Qualcomm, Caterpillar, McDonald’s and Western Digital. They join earlier objectors that include Broadcom, Verizon and UnitedHealth.

OKXICE co-chair Andrew Cuomo said Tuesday that the objections were an expected response to a new trading model. He said the model was designed to let companies choose whether to participate.

The objections concern trading the companies’ tokenized shares on OKXICE. The SEC framework gives issuers a 30-day period to object.

OKXICE is a planned venture between crypto exchange OKX and Intercontinental Exchange, the owner of the New York Stock Exchange. It aims to offer around-the-clock trading of tokenized U.S. shares.
