> German customers may receive crypto services from different Revolut entities, depending on their account arrangements.

Gibraltar’s Oct. 19 crypto permission for Revolut Global Digital Assets Limited does not identify which company provides crypto services to German customers, whose arrangements vary by account.

The permission covers transmitting orders to third parties for execution, executing orders using the company’s own virtual assets or money, providing custody and offering staking. No initial markets or customer rollout date have been announced. The Gibraltar crypto authorization applies to that entity.

The specific crypto-services agreement for Germany names Revolut Digital Assets Europe Ltd as a party. The Cyprus company is authorized under the European Union’s Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA) by the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC), Cyprus’s securities regulator.

German customers may also receive crypto services from Revolut Ltd, depending on the terms they accepted when opening or migrating a crypto account. Customers with an account at Revolut Bank UAB in Germany are mapped to Revolut Ltd for crypto services.

The Gibraltar permission alone does not establish that German customers have moved to the Gibraltar entity or that every customer contracts with the Cyprus company. The provider depends on each customer’s arrangement.
