A prediction-market contract puts the chance of Oklahoma enacting a statewide moratorium on new data-center construction by Jan. 1, 2028, at 21%, pricing a possible policy response to the AI infrastructure buildout.

The term table also listed odds of 3.8% for Jan. 1, 2027, 16.5% for July 1, 2027, and 35.5% for Jan. 1, 2029. The 2028 odds were little changed from a week earlier.

The percentages reflect market pricing for possible future policy outcomes. They do not establish that Oklahoma has enacted a construction pause. Potential signals include actions by the Oklahoma Legislature and the Oklahoma Corporation Commission, along with public statements from Gov. Kevin Stitt.

AI data-center projects may face schedule delays tied to power availability, grid connections, labor and equipment constraints.
