> The FBI urged THORNode and RPC node operators, as well as DeFi platforms, to block transactions tied to the reported Binance theft.

THORChain co-founder Chad Barraford said THORNode operators have no information beyond what is publicly available, responding to an FBI appeal for node operators and DeFi platforms to block transactions tied to the reported Binance theft.

Barraford said the information available to THORNode operators can be accessed in real time and that law enforcement agencies can obtain it without a subpoena.

The FBI's appeal named three groups: THORNode operators, RPC node operators and DeFi platforms. It called on them to block transactions tied to the reported Binance theft, putting THORChain node operators among several types of crypto services asked to act.

Barraford addressed THORNode information, saying the operators do not hold a separate pool of nonpublic data. He said the information they can access is public and available in real time, so authorities can obtain it without a subpoena. His response centered on access to information, while the FBI's request concerned stopping transactions linked to the reported theft.
