Greece’s Parliament passed legislation Nov. 5 imposing a 10% tax on cryptocurrency capital gains, establishing what is described as the country’s first comprehensive framework for taxing crypto assets.

The law exempts annual capital gains of up to about $563. The measure follows a proposal that had been in public consultation and was expected to go to Parliament in November.
