> Qatar has held several rounds of mediation as negotiators weigh differences over Iran's enriched uranium stockpile and sanctions.

Iran is reviewing specific proposals on its nuclear program in talks with the United States, a diplomatic shift that puts Tehran’s uranium stockpile at the center of negotiations with broader energy-market stakes.

Qatar has led recent mediation, holding two rounds of talks in Tehran and a third in Doha over the past week, while also meeting Iranian officials in Armenia. U.S. Vice President Vance is pushing negotiations as both sides consider the latest proposals to narrow their differences.

The central nuclear dispute is what to do with Iran’s stockpile of highly enriched uranium. Trump has demanded that Iran hand over the material, while Tehran rejects shipping it out of the country. The sides previously discussed diluting the uranium inside Iran under international monitoring.

Iran’s wider demands include unfreezing its assets, lifting oil sanctions and ending a U.S. naval blockade on Iranian ports. Iranian Supreme National Security Council Secretary Rezaei has publicly said Tehran will not discuss the nuclear issue until Washington meets its conditions, and he has privately shown greater openness to discussing the nuclear issue.

Gulf states are concerned that renewed conflict could damage their economies, adding broader energy-market stakes to the negotiations.
