# Bitget Attacker Converts $183 Million in Stolen Funds Into Ether

The Bitget breach has left 67,982 Ether (ETH), valued at about $183 million, in the attacker’s wallet after the conversion of most stolen EVM-chain assets, creating a major crypto-security and market-liquidity event.

The conversion accounts for more than half of the assets taken in the attack. The funds were moved from assets held across Ethereum Virtual Machine-compatible networks into ETH, concentrating a large portion of the stolen value in one crypto asset.

Bitget-linked hot wallets showed abnormal transfers during the incident, while the platform’s cold wallets and most of its assets were not affected.

The movement leaves 67,982 ETH tied to the breach and places the funds under continued on-chain monitoring.
