# Bitget Says Hackers Breached Wallet Backend, Private Keys Safe

Bitget CEO Gracy Chen said hackers breached a critical backend system used by the exchange’s wallet services, raising immediate security concerns while the company ruled out a private-key leak.

The attackers used the compromised system to fabricate transfer information and invoke an authorized signing process to move funds, Chen said. Bitget has completed containment measures and found no continuing risk of additional losses.

The precise method of entry remains under technical investigation. Multiple security teams are working on system repairs, additional safeguards and preparations to resume withdrawals.

Bitget will announce the withdrawal recovery schedule once it has been confirmed.
