# Bitget Keeps Withdrawals Suspended Until Security Checks Are Complete

Bitget will keep withdrawals suspended until its technical team confirms the exchange is secure and reopening the function would not expose it to another attack, CEO Gracy Chen said during a livestream.

Chen said some funds affected by the security incident may be recoverable. Bitget is investigating the problem while working on system repairs and additional security measures.

The exchange has not provided a timetable for restoring withdrawals. Chen said Bitget will notify users and publish an announcement once it establishes a specific reopening window, but would not promise a date it might fail to meet.

The suspension remains in place while Bitget completes its security review and assesses the recovery of affected funds.
