# Robinhood Chain Generated $6.6 Million in August Gas Revenue

Robinhood Chain generated $6.6 million in gas revenue in August as decentralized-exchange volume reached $1.5 billion and total value locked rose to $711 million, highlighting strong early activity on the Ethereum layer-2 network.

Robinhood launched the network’s public mainnet July 1 using Arbitrum technology. The company operates the chain’s sequencer and receives about 90% of transaction fees. After Ethereum settlement costs and a 10% licensing payment to Arbitrum DAO, August net revenue was about $6 million.

Uniswap accounted for most of the month’s trading volume. Daily on-chain fees reached $2.1 million on Aug. 31.

Robinhood Earn deposits also expanded during the month. Users deposited USDG through Morpho lending markets, lifting deposits from $9.5 million on July 1 to $456 million on Aug. 31. The deposits represented 68% of Robinhood Chain’s total value locked at the end of August.

Users could receive an estimated annualized yield of about 7%, while the lending side offered roughly 3.7% at the end of August. Morpho and its lending partners funded the difference through rewards.

Meme-token activity grew alongside the network’s broader usage. More than 340,000 tokens had been issued on Robinhood Chain by the end of August, while application-layer fees reached $114 million during the month. Meme tokens paired with Robinhood Stock Tokens recorded $518 million in trading volume.

Stock Tokens are unavailable to U.S. persons.

Activity remained concentrated among crypto-native users. Robinhood’s 27 million funded accounts had not yet migrated onto the network at scale.

Robinhood Wallet’s gas subsidies are scheduled to continue through Sept. 29, while Earn yields are planned to decline gradually.
