# Binance Tracks Bitget Stolen Funds and Supports Recovery Efforts

Binance is working with Bitget to track stolen funds and support recovery efforts after a security incident involving an estimated $351.6 million in losses.

Binance co-CEO Richard Teng said the cooperation would continue and described industry coordination as important in responding to attackers.

Bitget paused withdrawals during the investigation, while deposits and trading continued. Mandiant and SlowMist helped investigate the incident, and withdrawals are expected to resume after additional security checks. Bitget paused withdrawals during the investigation.

The affected assets included Ether (ETH), XRP, BNB, Avalanche (AVAX), Tether (USDT), USD Coin (USDC) and other tokens. The activity involved Ethereum, the XRP Ledger, Arbitrum, Avalanche, Optimism, BNB Smart Chain and Base.

All on-chain cold wallets were confirmed safe. Binance’s security team and Bitget continue sharing intelligence and tracking the movement of the stolen funds.
