Bitget said approximately $351.6 million in digital assets were affected after abnormal transfers from parts of its hot and warm wallet systems.

The activity was detected at 2:31:11 p.m. ET (18:31:11 UTC) on Sept. 24, Bitget said. The exchange temporarily suspended withdrawals while security checks continued, but deposits and trading remained operational.

A transaction breakdown valued the affected assets at approximately $356.86 million. The largest holdings were 102.93 million XRP valued at $157.48 million and 31,890 Ether (ETH) valued at $85.75 million. Tether (USDT), USD Coin (USDC), USD₮0, XAUt, BNB, Avalanche (AVAX) and TRX made up the remaining listed assets.

XRP accounted for about 44% of the listed value, while ETH represented roughly 24%. The two estimates differ. The reason for the difference was not established.

Bitget said its cold wallets and the overwhelming majority of platform assets were unaffected. It also said the affected assets were within the coverage of its User Protection Fund, which exceeded $400 million, while the access method and attacker’s identity remained unconfirmed.
