> Unauthorized transfers crossed seven blockchains on Sept. 24. Withdrawals were paused while deposits and trading remained available.

The incident involved approximately $351.6 million in digital assets, while blockchain tracking recorded $228 million moving from Bitget-linked wallets over 18 minutes across seven blockchains.

The exchange detected the transfers at 2:31 p.m. ET (18:31 UTC) on Sept. 24 and temporarily suspended withdrawals. Deposits and trading remained operational.

On-chain movements showed $228 million leaving Bitget-linked wallets from 2:58 to 3:16 p.m. ET (18:58 to 19:16 UTC). The activity involved the XRP Ledger, Ethereum, Arbitrum, Optimism, BNB Chain, Avalanche and Base.

XRP accounted for approximately $153 million of the tracked funds, making it the largest single asset component. Bitget said the incident affected portions of its hot- and warm-wallet infrastructure, while cold wallets remained secure.

The exchange also said its User Protection Fund held more than $464 million.
