# THORChain Swap Volume Surges as Bitget Stolen Funds Move Through Network

Funds stolen from Bitget moved through THORChain from Sept. 24 to Sept. 26, coinciding with a sharp increase in the network’s swap activity and fees.

Daily swap volume topped $500 million during the period, while daily fees exceeded $800,000. THORChain’s total swap volume reached $1.72 billion through Sept. 26, compared with $610 million for all of August.

Fees also climbed sharply. The network generated $2.2 million in fees through Sept. 26, versus $660,000 in August.

A similar spike occurred in April while funds stolen from KelpDAO moved through THORChain, providing context for the latest surge in network activity.
