# Hyperliquid to Lower Perpetual Funding Cap to 0.5% Hourly

Hyperliquid plans to reduce the maximum funding rate for perpetual contracts to 0.5% per hour from 4% with its next network upgrade, lowering the ceiling for extreme funding conditions.

The cap is rarely reached in actual trading. The change follows user feedback and will be introduced alongside higher HIP-4 limits for individual deployers.

Each deployer will be able to keep up to 200 outcomes active at the same time, compared with 100 currently. The daily deployment limit will increase to 1,000 from 500.
