# Meta Links Muse With AI Glasses as Hyperion Targets 5-Gigawatt Scale

Muse will come to Meta’s AI glasses in the coming months, connecting a personal AI agent with hands-free hardware as Meta expands its consumer AI products and computing infrastructure.

The agent can pursue goals, complete multistep tasks and continue working in the background with user oversight. Users will be able to call Muse by name, ask about objects in view and receive assistance while continuing a voice conversation.

Muse works across connected services and can browse the web, make purchases, generate images, create documents, set reminders and monitor user-defined goals. Its integrations include the Shopify catalog and services such as Walmart, Best Buy, PayPal, Expedia, Instacart, Notion, GitHub and Box.

User logins are stored in a secure credential store that Muse cannot read. Users can review and approve sensitive actions, including sending emails and making purchases.

The expansion builds on Meta’s earlier Muse launch, which made the service available in the United States through iOS, Android and muse.ai.

Meta announced Thursday, Sept. 24, that it plans more than 100 AI-glasses styles across Ray-Ban, Oakley and Meta Glasses by the end of 2026. The lineup includes Ray-Ban Meta Audio glasses and updates to Ray-Ban Meta Display glasses.

“We’re building personal AI agents for everyone and a whole family of devices that let you connect with them from anywhere,” Meta said in its Connect announcement.

Meta’s broader AI strategy also includes Hyperion, a computing project planned to scale to 5 gigawatts over the coming years. Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg described the expansion as part of an effort involving multiple multigigawatt data centers.

“Hyperion is going to scale up to five gigawatts over the coming years,” Zuckerberg said.

Muse works across connected services, Meta’s AI glasses provide a hands-free interface and its large-scale computing projects support future AI development. The company’s public product information does not establish that Muse has achieved artificial general intelligence.
