# Solana Sets Weekly Record With 1.32 Billion Non-Vote Transactions

Solana processed 1.32 billion non-vote transactions from Aug. 17-23, 2026, setting a weekly network record and marking a weekly high in activity associated with users and applications.

Non-vote transactions exclude the validator votes used to maintain Solana’s consensus process. The measure is intended to capture activity linked to users and applications, including transfers, trading and decentralized-finance interactions.

The available figures do not break down how much of the total came from each category. They also do not establish whether the same level of activity will continue.

The record followed the July 29, 2026, activation of SIMD-0286 at the start of epoch 1009. The upgrade increased Solana’s maximum block compute limit from 60 million to 100 million compute units.

Compute units measure the processing work required to execute activity on the network. Raising the limit gives each block room for more computationally demanding transactions, allowing the network to handle a larger amount of work when capacity is available.

Solana also recorded a daily high of 216 million non-vote transactions during August 2026. The network’s target slot time reached 300 milliseconds on Aug. 28, 2026, down from 400 milliseconds.

The weekly and daily records show that Solana’s expanded capacity was used during the period. The figures do not identify the applications that generated the activity or quantify the contributions from decentralized finance, nonfungible tokens, transfers or other categories.
