> Most of the stolen funds moved across blockchains and later concentrated on Ethereum.

Bitget suffered a cyberattack on Sept. 24 involving about $387.5 million in stolen funds, with the loss highlighting the scale and speed of cross-chain crypto theft.

Much of the money moved between blockchains and eventually concentrated on Ethereum. NEAR Intents’ SHIELD risk-intelligence layer detected attempts to transfer more than $50 million in suspected laundering funds.

About $166,000 in funds passed through the system, while another $503,000 was frozen during the process. The frozen assets remain restricted pending legal and recovery procedures.

The incident underscores how stolen crypto can be rapidly routed across networks, complicating efforts to trace and recover it.
