The executive order directs all federal agencies to connect systems used by the public to America.gov. The initiative is designed to bring access to government services into one portal powered by artificial intelligence.

Trump’s move expands the federal government’s use of AI as public debate continues over the technology’s effects on the economy and society. Trump said the interfaces would connect directly to what he called “a super brain.”

The website and agency integrations are the next steps in creating the government-services portal outlined in the order.
