# Sui-ChainPatrol Partnership Blocks 842 Threats Across More Than 11 Platforms

Sui is pursuing ecosystem-wide security measures with ChainPatrol, which blocked 842 unique threats across more than 11 platforms during the partnership’s first few weeks.

The effort provides real-time protection for more than 30 projects building on Sui. Its coverage includes websites, social-media platforms, app stores and marketplaces, extending security measures beyond the blockchain’s core protocol.

ChainPatrol’s system can identify phishing and impersonation attempts, including copycat branding detected through artificial intelligence and image recognition. Wallet and browser blocking tools can also prevent access to malicious domains, while takedown support helps projects remove harmful content from online platforms.

The partnership is part of the Sui Foundation’s Ecosystem Security Expansion Initiative, a multiyear program launched with a $10 million commitment on Sept. 29, 2025. The program funds continuous threat monitoring, formal verification work and shared security tools for developers and users across Sui.

The program addresses attacks that occur outside the Sui network itself, including fake websites, copycat social-media accounts and malicious applications. The initiative supplements traditional audits with ongoing, ecosystem-wide defenses.

“For too long, advanced security has been an overlooked part of crypto tooling,” Christian Thompson, managing director of the Sui Foundation, said. “Sui is setting a new standard by not only protecting the core protocol, but also hardening the entire ecosystem.”
