> The exchange reported an estimated $388 million impact from the Sept. 24 incident. Phased withdrawals are scheduled to resume, while customer claims remain subject to review.

Bitget has replenished its Protection Fund to more than $300 million after assigning about $388 million in financial impact to a Sept. 24 security incident, restoring a backstop separate from customer reserves.

The exchange completed the replenishment Sept. 30, two days after pledging to bring the fund back to at least $300 million within a week. Bitget said customer account balances remained accurate and unaffected.

Withdrawals are reopening in phases. The schedule sets the final phase, covering other tokens, fiat withdrawals and peer-to-peer services, for Oct. 2 at 4 a.m. ET (0800 UTC). That is a target time and does not confirm every service is available.

Bitget's estimate of the affected funds changed from $351.6 million in its initial notice to $387.5 million in a later timeline. The Sept. 30 announcement described the financial impact as approximately $388 million. Investigations by Mandiant and SlowMist and efforts to trace and recover funds were ongoing.

Replenishing the Protection Fund does not establish that individual customers have been reimbursed. Claims remain subject to Bitget's assessment.
