Three armed assailants forced a foreign victim to transfer cryptocurrency worth about $820,000 during a residence robbery in Bang Lamung, Thailand, early Oct. 6, bringing reported total losses close to 30 million baht.

The attackers made the victim open a safe and send the crypto to a specified wallet. The transferred assets were valued at about 27 million baht.

They also took about 150,000 baht in cash and three Rolex watches. The suspects may be Chinese nationals, and police are checking their identities.

Police have leads on three suspects and are tracing the transferred cryptocurrency.
