Mysten Labs is developing a verifiable system with Google Cloud to document whether artificial-intelligence agents act within authorized limits, including when they handle tasks with financial or legal consequences.

The system, called Verifiable Agent Arbiter, would keep detailed activity records in customer-controlled Google Cloud Storage. Cryptographic proofs would be anchored on Walrus, a decentralized storage protocol, while verification would be coordinated through Sui.

The design is intended to establish an auditable record of an agent’s permissions, actions and results while keeping sensitive operational records in customer-controlled private storage. That structure could support oversight of automated systems used in business operations.

Verifiable Agent Arbiter is also planned to connect with the Sui-based x402 payment standard. The integration would allow AI agents to locate external services and settle payments directly, with payment permissions and execution steps recorded cryptographically.

The planned applications include business-to-business transaction reconciliation and investigations into abnormal agent behavior. The project was also discussed in [earlier coverage of the VAA project](<https://www.tokenpost.com/news/investing/27292>).
