> The Chainlink co-founder described tokenized cash, equities and funds as components of a parallel financial system accessible to AI agents.

Chainlink co-founder Sergey Nazarov said tokenized financial assets could help create an AI-accessible parallel financial system as the event focused on interoperability.

“Tokenization will create a parallel system for onchain cash, equities, & funds. That parallel system will be very efficient & very accessible to AI agents,” Nazarov said.

Sibos 2026 took place Sept. 28-Oct. 1 at the Miami Beach Convention Center under the theme “Digital finance for AI-driven economies.” More than 500 speakers participated across over 250 sessions.

Nazarov joined the “Future of Value: Part Two — When Money Becomes Intelligent” panel Sept. 30 from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m. ET (13:30-14:15 UTC). The discussion examined how AI agents could manage financial workflows and transact with digital assets while smart contracts enforce governance and risk controls.

“AI agents are going to be the most impatient customers in the history of finance,” Nazarov said.

Chainlink also listed Nazarov for a Sept. 28 session on cross-chain collateral mobility and an Oct. 1 workshop on interoperable global finance. The company describes its infrastructure as connecting tokenized assets, data and workflows across public and private blockchains.

The event identified interoperability, tokenization and artificial intelligence as major discussion areas. Olivier Sfartman of Société Générale said the financial sector must move beyond successful trials.

“We’ve moved from a proof of concept to a proof of value. Now we need to move to a proof of scale, and scaling is about connectivity and standardisation,” Sfartman said.

A Chainlink-defined metric for “transaction value enabled” stood at $34,177,623,388,199 when updated Sept. 2, 2026. The measure represents the U.S.-dollar value associated with transactions using a Chainlink oracle.

The interoperability discussion also connects with Chainlink’s work on collateral infrastructure. [DTCC’s planned collateral AppChain with Chainlink](<https://www.tokenpost.com/news/business/25089>) is intended to support 24/7, near-real-time collateral management across global markets.
