> Polygon recorded $933 billion in stablecoin transfer volume in 2025 and $741 billion through Sept. 29, 2026, as payment infrastructure use grows.

Polygon Chain has processed more than $3 trillion in stablecoin transfers since September 2020, highlighting the network’s growing role in digital payments and settlement infrastructure.

Stablecoin transfer volume on Polygon reached $933 billion in 2025, up from $276 billion in 2024. The network recorded another $741 billion in transfer volume from the start of 2026 through Sept. 29.

Polygon PoS had about $3 billion in stablecoin supply and 4.9 million daily transactions as of 1:35 a.m. ET (05:35 UTC) on Oct. 6. Stablecoin supply measures the value held on a network, while transaction counts measure how frequently assets move.

Polygon PoS operates as a sidechain with its own validator set rather than as an Ethereum Layer 2. That structure means comparisons with networks such as Base and Arbitrum depend on the dataset and classification used.

Stablecoins are digital tokens designed to track the value of assets such as the U.S. dollar. Their use can support payments, transfers and settlement without requiring each transaction to move through traditional banking rails.

Revolut, Paxos, Polymarket, Cash App, Deel and Tazapay have used Polygon for payments. PayPal USD began issuing natively on Polygon in 2026, while Mastercard selected the network among its options for expanded stablecoin settlement.

Polygon’s Open Money Stack combines compliance tools, wallets, fiat access, routing and blockchain settlement through one application programming interface. The infrastructure is designed to connect payment functions within a single integration.

Transfer counts and cumulative volume show activity on the network but do not by themselves identify how much usage comes from commercial payments. Polygon’s reported 2026 total covers activity through Sept. 29.
