> Meng Yan said the assets remain intact and traceable on-chain in his personal assessment after Solv restricted the funds during a July BTC+ security incident.

Solv Protocol co-founder Meng Yan said about 50 Bitcoin (BTC) remains restricted after the protocol launched a security review linked to a July BTC+ incident.

Yan said he had left Solv’s daily operations and was not involved in BTC+ or aware of the incident when it occurred. He later communicated with the user, who asked him to discuss the case with Solv’s business team.

The deposit of the 50 BTC and related operations created important conditions used in the attack path, Yan said. The attack followed the related operations by three days, although he said the timing alone does not prove the transactions were connected.

Solv’s risk controls placed protective restrictions on the funds and asked the user to explain the activity. Yan said, as a personal assessment, that the assets remained intact, traceable on-chain and had not been transferred, pledged or disposed of.

Yan said Solv did not require the user to complete know-your-customer checks during the review. He also said ordinary BTC+ users are not required to verify their real-world identities.

Instead, the review examined whether the user’s identity and account explanations were consistent, whether the relevant accounts were controlled by the user and whether explanations for key transactions matched objective records.

Yan said the user used multiple names and online identities, while several explanations changed over time. Yan cited the user’s explanation for activity on July 18, which referred to a similar transaction. Solv’s review found that the transaction cited by the user occurred on July 20.

The user also said they acted after seeing information on Solv’s website. Yan said the page did not contain the information described at that time.

The security restriction will remain until the outstanding questions are resolved, Yan said. He added that Solv had not rejected resolution through judicial or other formal channels.

The episode follows [Solv Protocol’s earlier explanation of the delayed redemption](<https://www.tokenpost.com/news/technology/25741>), which said BTC+ deposits and redemptions continued to operate normally while the review remained focused on a single transaction.
