> The incident involved a flaw in the EtherVistaPair.swap() reserve-product check and two transactions withdrawing WETH and VISTA.

Ethervista suffered an attack that caused an estimated $18,600 loss, with funds removed from a pool through a flaw in the protocol’s swap validation.

The root cause was an integer overflow in the K-value check inside EtherVistaPair.swap(). The pool’s two reserves use uint112 values, and multiplying them can cause the result to wrap around. That allowed the validation to pass even when the actual product of the reserves had fallen substantially.

The attacker also registered a self-controlled contract as an authorized router. Two transactions then removed WETH and VISTA from the pool.

The incident highlights how arithmetic limits in smart-contract reserve checks can affect the reliability of automated market-making mechanisms. The estimated loss was about $18,600.
