> The suspected campaign spans Ethereum, TRON and Bitcoin, but its attack method and connection to Ledger hardware remain unconfirmed.

On-chain analyst Specter identified more than $86 million in suspected crypto losses from wallets believed to be linked to Ledger users, in a campaign spanning Ethereum, TRON and Bitcoin.

The suspected drain was identified on Oct. 9. Specter linked the activity to multiple addresses that allegedly received funds from hundreds of victim wallets. The total could approach $100 million, but that estimate remains unconfirmed.

A Bitcoin address flagged in the analysis, bc1qjqgwejnp8dc0x2938x9n9954hj97t82unx49dl, received more than 211 Bitcoin (BTC). The funds had not moved at the time of the analysis.

The attack method, victim count and connection to Ledger devices remain unconfirmed. The available information does not establish whether the losses resulted from compromised recovery phrases, phishing, malicious software or a device-related flaw.

Ledger disclosed a separate vulnerability in its Ethereum app in August. The company said the issue was fixed in version 1.22.3 and that no production frontend was compromised or real funds moved during testing.
