LayerZero and Blockaid have launched Bridge Sentinel, a decentralized verification network that screens cross-chain messages for security threats before they are validated.

Operated by Blockaid, Bridge Sentinel uses real-time threat intelligence to identify false-source events, malicious counterparties and the movement of stolen funds.

Asset issuers using LayerZero’s Omnichain Fungible Token (OFT) standard can choose to add Bridge Sentinel to their decentralized verification network configurations. The setup is designed to add a security screening layer to cross-chain message validation.
