> Ledger is investigating reported losses involving Southeast Asian customers, while on-chain investigator Specter estimates more than $86 million was lost across three networks.

Ledger has asked reseller CryptoBilis to halt sales and shipments of its devices while it investigates reported cryptocurrency losses involving customers in Southeast Asia, where claims have exceeded $86 million.

On-chain investigator Specter estimated losses above $86 million from more than 100 wallets across Ethereum, TRON and Bitcoin. The figure has not been confirmed by Ledger, which also has not confirmed the number of affected customers, the cause of the losses or whether all tracked wallets belonged to CryptoBilis buyers.

Ledger advised customers who purchased devices from CryptoBilis within the past 90 days not to initialize unused devices. Existing users were told to consider moving their assets to a new Ledger signer with a new recovery phrase.

The warning is specific to CryptoBilis purchases and does not establish a Ledger-wide compromise. Ledger’s investigation and its request for a CryptoBilis sales pause remain the next concrete steps.
