Seismora is developing an AI control plane that can route individual workloads across devices, edge infrastructure and cloud providers based on computing capability, cost, latency and policy requirements.

The company is targeting developers building agentic applications, Founder and CEO Vito Palermo said. The system is designed to determine where tasks should run across different models, providers and computing environments.

“What we’re building at Seismora is an intelligent control plane that allows AI traffic to move across the network,” Palermo said.

Seismora describes the product as an “AIOS control plane” that coordinates identity, workload placement, security and continuity across networks and devices. Its stated support includes CPU, GPU, DPU and XPU systems, as well as switches, routers, mobile devices, customer-premises equipment, enterprise edge infrastructure and metro-compute platforms.

The company calls the approach “cognitive routing.” Its intelligence fabric combines telemetry with expert knowledge to guide decisions across different models, providers and computing environments. The system is also designed to coordinate intelligence across homes, enterprises, mobility systems and public networks while applying privacy, trust and policy constraints alongside cost and performance considerations.

“Distributed inference is becoming an economic-routing problem,” Seismora said.

Stripe is expanding into AI-request routing through its planned acquisition of OpenRouter. Stripe said Aug. 19, 2026, that it agreed to acquire OpenRouter, whose system routes requests among more than 400 models from more than 80 providers based on task complexity, price, speed and reliability.

OpenRouter processes more than 10 trillion tokens per day and serves a community of more than 10 million developers and companies. Stripe did not disclose a purchase price for the deal.
