# SpaceXAI Renames Itself SpaceXSI as Musk Promotes ‘SI’ Term

SpaceXAI has renamed itself SpaceX Super Intelligence and adopted the handle @SpaceXSI, extending Elon Musk’s effort to replace “artificial intelligence” with “super intelligence” in its branding.

The account’s new name and handle reflect Musk’s earlier preference for “super intelligence” and “SI” over “artificial intelligence” and “AI.” About six days before the rename, Musk replied to a question about whether SpaceXAI would become SpaceXSI.

“Yes, we will make that change,” Musk wrote.

The rebranding follows a wider terminology shift that includes [the federal directive](<https://www.tokenpost.com/news/regulation/29692>) signed by President Donald Trump on Sept. 29. The order directs federal agencies to use “Super Intelligence” and “SI” instead of “Artificial Intelligence” and “AI” in official correspondence, public communications, websites, reports, policy documents and other nonstatutory documents.

SpaceXAI’s official X account now presents the new name and handle, completing the announced change.
